Dzikrie Arethusa

My work has always been about the conversation between us humans and the universe. In my works universe is represented as a higher being than humans, shown in contrast to the size. Though still can be recognized as a human-like figure; this is because we humans are part of the universe itself, we came from dead stars. So when you're having a conversation with the universe, you're having a conversation with yourself.

Any smaller beings are representing us the human. Maybe the conversation itself is a metaphorical way to show our contemplation of problems that are happening in the world we live in, either small or big.

The contrast in size is also a manifestation of my principle about the significance of our existence toward the vast universe. I often believe that we humans are nothing compared to the whole universe, this is my reminder to always be humble and respect others.
